Faith, family, and love. Those are three words I would use to sum up Rachel and David's wedding day and are such a reflection of the two of them. There are many weddings that acknowledge God or sometimes some other higher power greater than the couple but few that I've been to have so beautifully shared the love of Christ for us and have openly invited guests to know Him personally. And Rachel and David themselves are so clearly a testament of the love of Christ working in and through them. It's clear they're both adored by those around them, and now as a couple they'll get to share the love of Christ in a new and beautiful way, together.

The day started out at a family member's home, and after the first look we took photos of Rachel and David at her childhood home, including some under the apple tree she climbed as a little girl. As the day went on I lost track of how many kids came up to Rachel and David for hugs, and I loved how they never seemed inconvenienced by all the little ones asking for their attention. As a mom I know how overwhelming little hands reaching for you can be at times, especially when you're already overwhelmed with busyness or emotions. But they were totally unbothered and, like Christ, they let the little children come to them.

Just like the apple tree from Rachel's childhood, Rachel and David have grown deep roots. They're rooted and grounded in love. Not just the love of family, but the love of Christ. And I'm so excited to see how God uses them as they continue to model Christ's love to one another and those around them.

Rachel and David, it was such an honor to be a part of your wedding day and to witness the testimony of God's goodness and grace in your lives and in bringing you together at the right time. I'm praying for you two and cheering you on!
